Getting plenty of food, water, and time off work come highly recommended from the gaming community to fully enjoy this highly-anticipated addition to the Fallout series.

Fallout 4 will be the first Fallout game since 2010. Making use of the new generation of consoles, gamers are nearly exploding in excitement to the release on November 10th.

Made by Bethesda, the good people behind the Elder Scrolls series, Fallout 4 has been promised to be bigger and better than ever. The collapse of civilization has never looked so beautiful. 

Fallout 4 is less than a month away. I’ll let that sink in. So in typical fashion, I have compiled my top 5 wanted list below. 

And if a Bethesda programmer or two happen to stumble across this then PLEASE. 

1. No invisible walls

I think we can all agree on this one. I know it cuts down on glitches, but there’s nothing more frustrating than running into one of these and needing to take the long way round. 

2. Multiplayer

Now don’t leave a nasty comment just yet. Hear me out. I know Bethesda has been very adamant in basing the Fallout games around single-player only, and in many ways it’s a more immersive experience because of that. But imagine roaming the Boston wasteland with a buddy, each creating your own settlements in the same NPC-filled world. Just food for thought. Just as long as it was kept simple. 

3. References from previous games 

What happened to Mr. Burke after the ghouls took over Tenpenny Tower? Maybe he fled to Boston. Who knows? But it’d be nice if there was characters from Fallout 3 and New Vegas who appear in - or are referenced - in Fallout 4. Nothing quite beats gaming nostalgia. 

4. More intelligent AI

I actually really liked some of the AI in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The choices they made, depending on the situation and their interaction with the world, were clever. But the combat was terrible. Not hiding behind any cover when they’re being riddled with a minigun is unforgivable. Better combat AI in Fallout 4 is a must. 

5. More NPCs 

The thing that really bugged me about the towns in the previous games were the lack of people. You’re supposed to be in a bustling post-apocalyptic city, where hundreds of people are supposed to live, but there’s about six people walking about. Really ruins the atmosphere. Now I can only presume that’s because of the limitations of last gen consoles, so it shouldn’t be much to ask for. 

Some of these may be a bit ambitious, but if at least half of the above are in the final product, then I’d be as welcoming as Deputy Weld.
