Current star of 90 Day Fiancé, Anna Campisi has revealed that she had a health scare. The mother of three was already suffering from a broken heart when she realized her pulmonary embolism diagnosis.
Anna has been featured on seasoon 7 of the hit TLC show as she figures out her love life with her fiancé, Mursel. She originally connected over their mutual love of beekeeping but have since realized upon meeting that they have a number of cultural differences between them, including a rather large language barrier that requires the assistance of a translator. Both reality TV stars are 38 years old, with Mursel hailing from Turkey and being a devout Muslim and Anna being a single mother of three who lives in Nebraska and practices Christianity.
The reality star took to Instagram Stories on Saturday, January 18th to share with fans that she suffered a serious health scare. The mother of three shared with her followers that she had been having serious pains in her calf over the last couple of weeks and decided to go to the doctor. She went onto say that last week her left calf started to swell uncontrollably and became double the size of her right leg, bringing even more pain saying she could hardly walk. Her local doctor decided the situation was serious enough to send her to the emergency room for an ultrasound where doctors discovered she had developed several blood clots, check out Anna’s full Instagram Story below:
The Nebraska doctors decided on a course of blood thinners and the reality star was sent back home to recover. Campisi went on to say the next night she woke up with severe chest pains and was rushed back to the hospital where she underwent a CT scan and was told that blood clots were found in her lungs. The reality star was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism which occurs when a blood clot called a deep vein thrombosis which often appears in the patient’s legs and travels up to their lungs, blocking blood vessels from functioning. The disease often leads to low oxygen levels and can not only damage the lungs but also cause heart failure.
Thankfully, the Nebraska native is now at home on bed rest for a couple of days according to doctors’ orders. The TLC star urges her followers to listen to their bodies, saying if something does not feel right to go get themselves checked out. Fans are happy to know that the beekeeper is on the mend and will be back out in the world soon looking for love.
