Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fame are currently under house arrest in Korea due to the coronavirus. The couple has been told to stay inside their house until further notice from the government.
The young couple, who now stars on the hit TLC spin-off, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, met in person after hitting it off on a dating app; Clegg was from Salt Lake City, while Lee lived in South Korea. After speaking for a couple of months, Lee took the leap and went to visit Clegg in Utah, not knowing he would get her pregnant on the very first night they met. Lee stayed in the US for three months learning of her pregnancy on his last day. Lee later proposed to Clegg when he came back and visited her in Las Vegas with his mother and father. Deavan has since moved to South Korea full time to be with Jihoon and start a life with him.
The 90 Day Fiancé star took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, March 2nd to announce that she and her family were ordered to stay under house arrest due to the coronavirus spreading throughout South Korea. The mother of two shared with her fans that she had planned a trip to the United States on March 1th to visit with her family and friends, but unfortunately had to cancel her trip. Currently, flights in and out of South Korea have been canceled until further notice. The 90 Day Fiancé alum informed her fans that many airlines had ended their routes to the country, but she was trying to stay safe.
Last TLC fans heard about the young couple they had just suffered a miscarriage in October and were dealing with the emotional fallout. Deavan was dealing with the aftermath of a botched lip procedure which she had received in South Korea. The cosmetic surgery debacle caused her to fly home to Las Vegas to receiver an emergency procedure which secures that she would not lose her lips. Currently, the couple and children are living in South Korea as the Utah native decided to uproot her life and move to her husband’s native country.
Currently, the entire world is being infected with coronavirus with the exception of Antarctica. World leaders are scrambling to contain the outbreak before the virus is categorized as a pandemic. Some US shows have stopped filming like The Amazing Race and many movie premieres in Italy and China have also been canceled such as Mulan and the new James Bond movie. While more than 90 people have been infected in the United States alone governments are urging their citizens to stay calm and above all be vigil.
